Everyone has pet peeves.
Things like the toilet seat left up, improper turn signals, or the very moment you've finished your bedtime routine and your head is just about to hit the pillow when an annoying emergency pops up.
However, if your pet peeve involves movies that feature dreams within dreams then you have absolutely no place seeing Inception.
That said, even if the dream plot device does annoy you, it is nice when it is done well and it is done very well here.
You know you're in for a tricky timeline ride right off the get go as Leonardo DiCaprio stars as a memory thief trained to enter peoples dreams and steal information.
At this point in his life he takes on an assignment where he doesn't steal but rather he plants an idea (hence the title). The direction and acting is great and it's very nice to see Ellen Page on the screen again.
Basically what you have here is a great popcorn movie. There is action every which way and eventually you realize there's no sense in trying to figure out what is a dream and what isn't.
Yes it's a little over the top but the action and silliness of it are faced paced and greatly entertaining.
If you've been waiting for the perfect summer blockbuster movie I dare say this is it.
Unless of course you reading this is all a dream. But if you're dreaming about reading my review we have to seriously work on your dreams.
