Just a little effort and your pup will thank you. Here are four simple recipes from the Regional Animal Protection Society test kitchen that will keep your pets cool and contented.

Peanut butter banana pops

1 ripe banana
1 cup plain yogurt

Freeze for a few hours or until solid.

Chicken broth ice cubes

Pour the chicken broth into ice cube trays.
Add chicken to each cube.

Watermelon pupsicles

2 cups seedless watermelon, pureed
1/2 cup coconut water (coconut water has electrolytes that help keep your dog hydrated and give them an energy boost from potassium, calcium and vitamin C)

Puree watermelon in blender.
Add coconut water and blend.
Pour into ice cube trays or molds.
Freeze until solid.

Blueberry yogurt bites

1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
