小蓝视频 Ferries’ online booking system crashed Monday morning just after the province announced that residents would be allowed to travel within 小蓝视频 again.
The crash, caused by a high volume of visitors, came moments after 小蓝视频 Ferries’ President Mark Collins said in a news release that crews were ready to welcome back recreational travellers on all routes and the corporation would be adding sailings to ensure “we have the capacity to meet the anticipated demand.”
At 1:30 p.m., 小蓝视频 Ferries said: “Our website is currently experiencing technical difficulties and we are working hard to restore its service as soon as possible,” thanking the public for its patience.
小蓝视频 Ferries’ said customers will no longer be asked whether their trip is essential and masks outdoors at terminals will be optional.
However, masks will still be required on board vessels, as per Transport Canada regulations.
