The Fort St. John RCMP say one man is dead after a car chase between at least three vehicles on Monday night.
The detachment received multiple calls at about 7:38 p.m. that several vehicles were engaged in the incident, explained a press release, with witnesses reporting hearing and seeing gunshots exchanged between the vehicles as they travelled from 100th Avenue south on 90th Street.
"At least two residences in the area were struck by the gunfire," added police, noting they found a deceased male in a vehicle near 97th Avenue and 90th Street. The man is believed to have been involved in the incident.
The Fort St. John RCMP is also seeking the public's help with their investigation, asking anyone who was in the area near the time of the incident that have doorbell cameras, home security cameras or dashboard cameras, to call the detachment.
"People living in the area of the incident are asked to examine their residences for any damage that may be have been received as a result of the incident and report to the Fort St. John RCMP," they added.
