Lexi Auguston saved five lives through organ donation after tragically passing away in an accident.

A Prince George woman is a hero after saving five other lives amid her own tragedy.

According to a , Lexi Augustson died on Jan. 28, 2021, one week after her 21st birthday, when she was in a horrible accident.

Lexi's sister, Brittney Locke, says after 45 minutes of resuscitation, doctors and emergency crews at UHN小蓝视频 in Prince George were able to get her heart beating again, but sadly suffered major head trauma and left Lexi with no brain activity.

"The doctors have told us that she passed instantly during her accident, no pain or suffering," Brittney wrote on the fundraising page.

"Later we received word that Lexi had filled out an organ donation form."

On Feb. 1, 2021, Lexy underwent organ donation surgery in which she was able to save five other lives.

"We had to say goodbye to the best daughter, sister, soulmate, niece, granddaughter, best friend, aunty and over all just the kindest human being we know."

Brittney says her and Lexi's parents are looking at $3,500 for cremation and a minimum of $5,000 in estate lawyer as well as legal fees. The amounts do not include funeral and memorial related expenses.

"Our lives will never be the same again," she explains.

"There's a big piece of our family gone. A hole in our hearts that will always be there. But Lexi would not want us to be in pain. She would want us to remember all the good times and all the best memories. Remember her laugh that could fill the house, her big beautiful smile, her gorgeous soul inside and out."

Their parents, Chad and Amanda Cormack, recently moved to Prince George and bought a home that they have been fixing and renovating slowly before tragedy struck.

They also have six children currently at home, Cassandra (16), Eben (14), Kristal (11), Jaclynn (8), Wyck (4) and Robert (18 months).

"A huge piece of our lives is gone. The last thing any parent needs in this time is to worry about the finances of losing your child. The smallest donation makes a difference. Even if half our goal is reached would mean more than one can ever know."

Lexi was also an avid athlete in playing soccer, hockey, skiing and snowboarding.

As of this publication (Feb. 9), the GoFundMe page has raised $7,400 of its $10,000 goal.
