Coronavirus cases drop to 23 in Howe Sound region

COVID-19 case count is trending in the right direction. 

The region’s COVID-19 case count dropped to 23 for the week Oct. 31 to Nov. 6, according to data released on Nov. 10 by the.

The region encapsulates Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, and parts of the southern Stl’atl’mx Nation. 

No stats have ever been made available for Squamish or other smaller communities.

This is the lowest weekly case count since Aug. 21, when there were

At its height, Howe Sound saw cases in the week of March 28, 2021. 

From January 2020 to October 2021, Howe Sound tallied 3,301 positive cases.
