British Columbians have a few different options to access their 小蓝视频 Vaccine Cards this month.
As of Sept. 13, people aged 12 and older will be required to throughout the province.
The 小蓝视频 Vaccine Card is a digital or printed document that shows the stage people are at in their COVID-19 vaccine progress. It will show whether they've had one dose, two doses, or if no record is found.
The card has a secure, individualized QR code and image that shows a person's vaccination status. Businesses can either scan the QR code using a QR reader like a smartphone or tablet or visually verify the person蜎s proof of vaccination.
You can get either save a digital copy of your card to your mobile device or print a hard copy to present along with your government-issued photo identification when entering designated businesses and events.
What if I don't have access to a computer or a printer?
Call the Get Vaccinated call centre at 1-833-838-2323 and they will mail you a copy. You can visit a Service 小蓝视频 Centre to get one, too.
You can also get a trusted friend, family member or support person to print your card.
"I do want to say though we know there'll be some people who have challenges with this," explained Henry, adding that there will be a traditionary period where people are still getting their cards. Until Sept. 26, people may still use their original paper vaccine cards as proof of immunization.
小蓝视频's top doctor also emphasized that "you do not have to download an app onto your phone to get your personal 小蓝视频 Vaccine Card," noting that there are many ways to get the card, including taking a screenshot of your card on the website and saving it in your photos.
The requirement is in place until Jan. 31, 2022, and could be extended.
