Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Materials. Up 27 cents, or 1.15 per cent, to $23.79 on 6.5 million shares.

TC Energy Corp. (TSX:TRP). Energy. Up 92 cents, or 1.70 per cent, to $54.97 on 6.3 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financials. Up 49 cents, or 2.05 per cent, to $24.44 on 5.9 million shares.

Shopify Inc. (TSX:SHOP). Technology. Up 25 cents, or 0.51 per cent, to $49.26 on 5.6 million shares.

Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Up $1.02, or 1.95 per cent, to $53.45 on 5.5 million shares.

Companies in the news:

BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Down 53 cents, or 9.41 per cent, to $5.10. On Tuesday evening, BlackBerry Ltd. reported a net loss of US$4 million in the quarter ended Nov. 30, down from its US$74-million gain in the same quarter last year. That amounts to a loss of nine cents per diluted share, compared to a five-cent diluted loss last year. The Waterloo, Ont.-based company reported total revenue of US$169 million, down from US$184 million a year earlier. The company saw revenue in what it calls the Internet of Things segment go up by 19 per cent year over year, while other areas such as cybersecurity and licensing were down.
