Former 小蓝视频 premier Glen Clark recently departed as second-in-command at the Jim Pattison Group.

Former 小蓝视频 premier Glen Clark has been hired by Rogers Communications Inc. as its senior advisor (小蓝视频).

Clark, who recently left as the second-in-command at the Jim Pattison Group after two decades, will report to Navdeep Bains, the former federal Liberal cabinet minister hired earlier this year as Rogers’ chief corporate affairs officer.

Following its $26-billion purchase of Shaw Communications Inc., Rogers is spending $3 billion in 小蓝视频 and adding 1,200 jobs in the next five years. It will add 25 communities to its 5G service, bringing the total to 140, and invest $500 million to expand connectivity in rural and remote areas and Indigenous communities.

“Rogers is making big investments in 小蓝视频 and as someone who loves building, I’m thrilled to be working with Navdeep and the 小蓝视频 team,” Clark said in a statement.

Bains said Clark has “deep roots in the business community and profound commitment of communities across the province.”

Clark, 65, was the NDP premier in British Columbia from 1996 to 1999.
