Better wages and benefits are coming to film and TV crews represented by the Directors Guild of Canada 小蓝视频 (DGC 小蓝视频).

The new collective deal between the guild, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) and the Canadian Media Producers Association 小蓝视频 branch (CMP) was announced on Monday (Nov. 18).

The agreement runs from 2025-28.

Updated rates, terms and conditions will benefit directors and DGC 小蓝视频-represented crews in film, TV and other media productions across the province. Production management, assistant directors and locations assistants will also benefit from the deal.

AMPTP president Carol Lombardini said in a statement the updated agreement will offer crews substantial increases in benefits and wages. She said she looks forward to working with other union partners to position 小蓝视频 as a desirable destination for film and TV producers.

Just over 50 per cent of eligible DGC 小蓝视频-represented crews voted 90.9 per cent in favour of the deal, according to guild business agent Rob Larson.
