Celebration of life planned for 小蓝视频 teen killed by commercial truck driver

The 19-year-old was walking to work when he was killed.

Family members have organized a celebration of life for James Dickson on Dec. 8, 2024.

A celebration of life has been planned for a 19-year-old teenager who was fatally struck by a commercial truck while walking to work in Langley.

Police in Langley responded to the collision at 264 Street and Fraser Highway at 6:20 a.m. on Nov. 4 and determined the driver of a commercial truck collided with a pedestrian. 

Family  the person struck by the vehicle as James S. Dickson and say he was walking to work when the incident happened.

The same day, he succumbed to his injuries with his family by his side. 

A celebration of life is taking place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 265 in Aldergrove on Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. 

"James worked hard, played hard, and was very passionate about his volunteer work with St. John Ambulance,” writes a family member. 

Dickson will forever be in the hearts of his mother, father and two siblings. 

His family asks people to bring a photo of their favourite memory with James, with a written explanation on the back, to share. 

Instead of flowers, people are asked to make  in his memory.

A memorial was placed at the site of the incident with flowers and a white cross that reads "in loving memory." 

More than $16,500 has been raised on a created to help his family during this time.
