Custom-made bike for 小蓝视频 girl stolen outside her school

A child with complex health needs had her locked bike stolen outside her school Sept. 18

A custom-made electric bike that is essential for a child to move around has been stolen in Surrey.

On Sept. 16 at 11:45 a.m., a father parked and locked the bike outside his daughter’s school.

When he came back less than 15 minutes later, the bike was gone.

“It’s extremely important for us to recover this stolen bike as it has been customized to fit this child’s specific needs,” said Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha in a news release.

The daughter has complex health needs and uses the custom-made bike to help her get around. The bike has two child seats attached and is an Aventon Abound Cargo e-bike in a sage colour.

Surveillance video

Police were able to obtain surveillance video from the area which shows a man cutting the lock off the bike and stealing it.

In the video, a man approaches on foot and stands beside the locked bike for 10 seconds before taking his backpack off. He pulls out what appear to be wire or cable cutters, snips the lock and walks off with the electric bike.

The suspect was wearing a grey and maroon long-sleeved shirt, dark pants, a baseball cap and sunglasses.

“We are appealing to the suspect directly to return this bike to any of our district office locations,” Sangha said.

Anyone who has seen the bike or has information on the crime, is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and reference file number 2024-139199.
