Impaired driver crashes into pedestrian
Police are blaming drinking and driving for hospitalizing a pedestrian on Oct. 7.Officers say a vehicle crashed into a person on Tantalus Road and Cheakamus Way.
Police say they arrested the driver for impaired driving and impaired driving causing bodily harm. The male provided breath samples which showed he was over three times the legal limit to drive.
The suspect has been released with driving prohibitions and is expected to be in court at a future date for impaired driving.
Stop sign runner ignores police
An impaired driver was arrested after revving his engine and running stop signs downtown, police say.
Officers say they tried to pull over the driver, who ignored them.
Once RCMP stopped the driver, he was arrested for flight from police and impaired driving.
Officers say the man failed roadside tests for impaired driving, and police released him with driving prohibitions.
He will be in court for flight from police and dangerous operation.
