A voyage departing out of Canada Place Cruise Terminal visits Italy, France, Costa Rica, Mexico, the California Coast, Bermuda, and more with Cunard.

If you're looking for an ultra-affordable way to see a variety of some of the world's most popular travel destinations, your best bet might be to book a luxury cruise.

While an affordable luxury cruise might sound like an oxymoron, certain lengthy itineraries provide transportation to multiple popular spots for a fraction of the price that you would pay to fly to them and pay for local accommodation.

A voyage departing out of Canada Place Cruise Terminal in Vancouver that spends 32 nights at sea before disembarking in breathtaking Barcelona, Spain costs just over $100 per day and includes the cost of food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment.

The awe-inspiring journey departs from Vancouver on Aug. 17 and sails down the California Coast, makes a couple of stops in Mexico and Costa Rica, before doing a full transit through the Panama Canal. After making stops in Aruba, Florida, and Bermuda, the cruise crosses the Atlantic Ocean en route to Europe where it makes a stop in Portugal before visiting Spain. There are even a couple of stops in Italy and one in France before the cruise makes its way back to Barcelona, Spain on Sept. 18.

Although the voyage is a great deal for any cruise, it is an especially great deal for a luxury option.

Vancouver cruise through the Panama Canal to Barcelona, Spain

The total cost for the cruise for two people is $7,145.22, which breaks down to a per-person cost of $3,572.61. This works out to a per diem cost of $111.64.

While that price tag might seem steep, the cost of even just one week for an all-inclusive stay in a resort in Mexico for a couple of weeks typically costs upwards of $1,500 to $2,000.

Not only does that cost include your transportation on a beautiful five-star vessel, but it also includes meals, entertainment, snacks, and lodging. The only thing it doesn’t factor in is alcohol, but you may opt to purchase a drink package that can reduce the cost of your spending.
