Happy Monday, Whistler! Here's how it's shaping up out there so far.

Today's calls for rain with a high of about 6 C in Whistler. A low of 0 C is expected overnight, with wet snow or rain. Looking to tomorrow, the forecast calls for more a chance of rain showers or wet flurries, with a high of about 8 C. 

, Whistler Blackcomb is forecasting flurries, with a high of about -2 C, a low of about -3 C, and moderate winds. The freezing level sits at about 1,400 metres. The mountain operator is reporting 12 centimetres of fresh snow in the past 12 hours, and a base depth of about 205 cm. 

WB is reporting 61 groomed runs and 673 acres on Whistler, and 66 groomed runs and 724 acres on Blackcomb.

Both alpine and mid-mountain surface conditions are listed as variable.

"An impulse will arrive by this afternoon with moderate to heavy snow also expected through the evening hours. Scattered flurries are possible on Tuesday and Thursday, with breaks Wednesday and Friday, followed with isolated flurries over the next weekend. Moderate to strong ridgetop winds with strong to extreme gusts are expected today, becoming light to moderate ridgetop winds with moderate to strong gusts Tuesday/Wednesday. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1500-2000 m are also expected through Tuesday, then rising up to 2000-2500 m for the second half of next week," WB said in its morning report.

The avalanche danger rating in the Sea to Sky is currently high, .

"The parade of storms has woken up a nasty persistent slab and more snow is coming. The consequences of triggering an avalanche could be much higher than surface instabilities suggest," the forecaster said on its website.
