ICYMI: ‘Hare’ are Easter activities happening in Squamish

There are several Sea to Sky Easter activities to enjoy over the next week.

With Easter just around the corner, here are a few activities that are happening in Squamish to celebrate the hoppy holiday.

Britannia Mine Museum

Between March 29 and April 1, the is hosting its Easter celebration.

According to the museum's website, admission includes a special seasonal underground tour and access to the museum’s BOOM! Show.

There will also be a self-guided scavenger hunt and finishers can earn a special geological prize. The Terra Lab will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Colours of Copper demonstration as well.

Adult tickets are about $42, youth (13-17) tickets are $32, children (five-12) tickets are $24, and preschool (four and under) tickets are free. Seniors over 65 and students are $37.

Sea to Sky Gondola

On Sunday, March 31, the Sea to Sky Gondola is hosting its Easter egg gathering from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Those with a valid lift ticket or annual pass can join the event at no extra cost.

“Discover friendly woodland characters and chocolate eggs around our Summit Lodge,” . 

Additionally, the lodge is hosting a buffet-style brunch. Entry for those 13 and up is $42.50, six to 12 is $25, and five and under is free.

Squamish Firefighters Association

The Squamish Firefighters Association is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at Brennan Park Recreation Centre on Sunday, March 31, starting at 11 a.m.

It will run until completion, typically about an hour, and is located near the baseball diamonds north of the pool.

It's an event for children aged up to 10, and families are recommended to arrive a little bit before the start.

There will be tea and coffee by donation and the Easter bunny is likely to make an appearance.

A&W combines bear and bunny day

On April 1, at Squamish’s A&W, the very busy Easter bunny will also have dropped eggs for an Easter egg hunt.

Kids can also take a photo with the A&W Bear and get their faces painted. Every child also gets a free meal all day. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1200 Hunter Place, Unit #310.
