Does your local organization have an idea for a program that would make lives better and less lonely for the less privileged in town?
Squamish Community Foundation has announced a new fund that aims to reduce poverty and advance social inclusion.
According to a news release, the foundation is participating in 小蓝视频鈥檚 Community Prosperity Fund, which will share $25 million across the province.
For eager groups, the time to act is now. Applications for funding are being accepted until the fast-approaching date of June 24.
鈥淭he Community Prosperity Fund will be immensely beneficial for charities and Indigenous-serving organizations in Squamish,鈥 reads the news release.
鈥淲e know these organizations improve our communities by advancing poverty reduction and social inclusion. If they thrive, we thrive. This means that this type of funding is essential for our community to grow and create communities where we all belong.鈥
The Squamish Community Foundation says applications will be reviewed at a local level and may have funding for up to three years.
