Seniors living at the Westwinds will soon be hosting a public yard sale.

On Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Westwinds will host a yard sale at the building, which is located at 38275 Third Ave., across the street from Save-On-Foods.

“It will be a giant yard sale with lots of hidden treasures and goodies for all ages,” wrote one of the organizers, Ken Kwok, in an email to The СÀ¶ÊÓƵ.

“Come to check bargain-priced stuff like appliances, household items, toys, tools, electronics, small furniture, art items, greeting cards and much more that you might like.”

Those living at the Westwinds have been busy in the last few months with similar public events. On top of this upcoming yard sale, there have been two public art shows and sales which saw great turnouts.

The revamped living facility opened just about a year ago, in April 2022. The project was a partnership between all three levels of government, plus Polygon Homes and Squamish Senior Living Society.

There are a total of 232 rental apartments, which range from $767 to $990, depending on the income of the tenant.
