Fresh off a second-place finish in the Homegrown Comics competition at the 2013 Just For Laughs Festival, Ivan Decker's next stop is headlining a show at The Living Room in Squamish.
The Vancouver resident will bring his modern-day observational comedic style to town this Friday (Aug. 16), with the doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the show getting underway at 9:30 p.m.
Decker has made appearances on a number of radio and television programs, including his own half-hour comedy special on CTV and as a guest on both the radio and television versions of C小蓝视频's The Debaters. He was also voted Vancouver's No. 1 comedian at the 2011 Vancouver Comedy Showdown.
The middle act is Vancouver's Sean Emeny, who began performing in 2009 and has honed his abstract short joke style to perfection. He now tours nationally and will perform for the first time in Squamish.
It's the third local comedy show put together by event host and Squamish resident Kelly Dyer and he noted it's a stacked lineup. Tickets are $10 at the door and it's recommended to arrive early as previous shows packed them in.
