A songwriter who claims the likes of Haydn, Brahms and Mozart as well as Hendrix, McCartney and Lennon as inspiration is playing a concert in Squamish this weekend.
Tyler Del Pino is a student of two worlds, having received his musical education by day as a university classical music student graduate and by night as one of the Winnipeg's hardest-working rockers. He performs this Sunday (May 6) at 8 p.m. at the Squamish Academy of Music (SAM) in downtown Squamish as part of a cross-Canada tour.
Del Pino's pop sensibilities are grounded in classic rock but informed by the most current trends. An ability to crank out catchy 3 -minute pop gems is complemented by his uniquely powerful, confident vocals and formidable guitar playing. An experienced sideman and producer on Winnipeg's busy music scene, Del Pino's true talent is unmistakable and unforgettable when he is front and centre, performing his prolific and sure-to-be catalogue of future classics.
Tickets to Sunday's show, which begins at 8 p.m., cost $10 at the door. Wine will be available for cash sale. For more information, please contact SAM at (604) 815-4482.
