The people have spoken and comedy at The Living Room has survived to see another day.
Squamish comic Kelly Dyer ran what was thought to be the final comedy event at the restaurant on Jan. 22, but new ownership at The Living Room listened to customers and decided to bring back the laughs.
鈥淭hanks to everyone who called or went to The Living Room and asked in person,鈥 Dyer said about the support for his shows. 鈥淭he new owners were blown away by the amount of people who asked for the shows to continue.鈥
The return date is Thursday (March 5) and features headliner Brett Martin, who is making his Squamish debut. Martin has performed all across Canada and now calls Vancouver his home. He was featured on the show Comedy Now, which aired on CTV and The Comedy Network and has worked with talent such as Russell Peters and Marc Maron.
Also appearing are Vancouver comics Ryan Williams and Joey Commisso, both hitting the stage in Squamish for the first time.
The show gets underway at 8 p.m. and tickets, which cost $12, are available at the front door.
