The North Shore Celtic Ensemble is bringing the heat to Squamish with a new concert series called Playing with Fire.
On Sunday, Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m., the group will perform at the Eagle Eye Theatre with 鈥渇iery tunes and blazing fiddles,鈥� according to a news release. The Ensemble is a collection of young musicians from Vancouver.
鈥淲hat started as Celtic is now a spirited no-boundaries exploration of music that inspires us. The result is a full-spectrum music experience that defies labels and spans conventional genres,鈥� reads the release.
鈥淭heir own original compositions draw on Celtic, classical, jazz and folk influences and are blended with creative arrangements of more traditional Celtic tunes.鈥�

Under the direction of Gabriel Dubreuil, Serena Eades and Danielle Leonard, the group is described as 鈥渕ore than just a performing group.鈥�

The Ensemble will also be bringing the same performance to North Vancouver at the Centennial Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for that show are $35 for adults and $25 for students and seniors.
