When the Howe Sound Performing Arts Association (HSPAA) schedules a show with a group of jazz musicians who've been both played and complimented on C小蓝视频 Radio, you can pretty much be assured an evening of great music.

On Friday (Sept. 14), the Amanda Tosoff Quartet is set to play St. John's Anglican Church at 8 p.m. for a show that promises to swing like nothing else before.

"This quartet is getting rave reviews all around the Lower Mainland and from C小蓝视频 Radio," said Tracy Stuchbery, HSPAA president. "They are young and dynamic and their star is rising. Squamish will be in for a real treat catching them in an intimate setting. Pretty soon you'll be paying big bucks to see them in huge concert halls."

Tosoff, a pianist who at the age of 23 has already been compared to jazz greats, grew up in White Rock B.C where she began studying music at an early age. She received her degree in Music - Jazz Performance from Capilano College. There she honed her skills under the tutelage of Juno Award-winning pianist Ross Taggart, Chris Sigarson and Lorne Kellett. Her talents have earned her the Fraser MacPherson Music Scholarship (R小蓝视频 Excellence in Jazz award), awards from the Vancouver Women's Musical Society, the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and Vancouver Foundation of the Arts.

The Amanda Tosoff Quartet, features award-winning musicians: saxophonist Evan Arntzen, bassist Sean Cronin, and drummer Morgan Childs.
