They're Doin' it for a Song again at BAG

Entertainment

If you're looking for a little musical variety in your life, look no further than the Brackendale Art Gallery, Nov. 13 for the annual Doing It For a Song concert. With scheduled performers like Linda Kidder, Norman Foote, Cam Salay, Leslie Alexander, Emily and Richard Tran, and Black Swade, the evening is sure to sell out fast, so book early.

Linda Kidder's singing/recording credits include Rita MacNeil, Gary Fjellgaard, Bon Jovi, Susan Crowe, Connie Kaldor and Norman Foote - to name just a few.

She has toured throughout the world with K.D. Land, Gary Fjellgaard, Michelle Wright, Ian Tyson and the Good Brothers. Kidder has been nominated for Junos, and from 1992 to 1994 she sang with K.D. Land on her Ingenue tour, appearing on Letterman, The Tonight Show, MTV Unplugged, the Grammy's and at Radio City Music Hall.

Kidder will be treating BAG's audience to songs from her new CD called Close to Bliss.

Hosting the Doing it for a Song show will be versatile performer and Sea to Sky favourite Norman Foote.

Foote and Kidder will be joined by Paperboy Cam Salay, Juno nominee Leslie Alexander, locals Emily and Richard Tran, and young Squamish rockers Black Swade.

Tickets are $14 or $12 for seniors and students, available at BAG and Mostly [email protected]
