Squamish Youth Theatre is gearing up for its annual YOUTHfest, a collection of short plays presented at the Eagle Eye Theatre, March 17 and 18 at 7 pm. What is sure to have a wide family audience appeal, this production involves well over 50 actors appearing in six plays. They are: The Right Knight for Rosie, about a funky princess and her not so typical suitor, Katie's Toy Chest, about toys that come to life, Strawberry Daydreams, about a girl who proves she is not as inconsequential as everyone thinks, Spooks on Strike, a tale about ghosts walking of the job, Polly Pureheart Prevails, a comedy about superheros, and The Case of the Blue and Red Hats, a mystery that tests Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson's sharpest wits. The plays are being directed by Adriane Polo, Michelle Heighes, Dan Jarvis, Kelly Ann Smee and Amanda Anderson. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors and are available at Highlands Video and Mostly Books.
