The Creative 小蓝视频ions for Seniors forum held at the Sea to Sky Hotel on June 3 had some 80 senior citizens in attendance. Hilary King is the co-ordinator of community consultation and partnerships for Vancouver Coastal Health and for the forum. She was ably assisted by many facilitators in the areas of nutrition, safety, transportation, shopping, knowledge of services, support services and seniors' centre development. The four-hour session generated a wealth of information and ideas. Valuable input at the workshops will hopefully help seniors living in Squamish with some of that information being put into action quite quickly. Thirty-five people signed up to be involved in smaller groups that will meet in late August or early September to pursue further action. There was a strong voice for developing a seniors' centre.
