The District of Squamish’s top administrator was in the Middle East to help advise local municipalities.
It was part of the Jordan Municipal Support Project, an initiative from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
The project centres on providing Canadian expertise and support to local governments in Jordan.
Among other things, CAO Linda Glenday gave talks about her experience confronting gender bias in leadership positions.
She offered tips to women on how to deal with that problem.
Glenday also spoke about her lessons learned in municipal leadership.
Her trip was funded by Global Affairs Canada, a branch of the federal government that handles Canada’s diplomatic relations.
