First Discover Aviation Day lets youth explore piloting dreams for free

Open young eyes to the skies: Discover Aviation Day includes free flights for kids, engaging displays, and meet-ups with real pilots.

Does your child or teen have an interest in planes or perhaps being a pilot?

The Squamish Flying Club and the Canadian Owners & Pilots Association are hosting the first Discover Aviation Day at the Squamish Municipal Airport-Don Patrick Field.

Kids, ages eight to 18, can have a free flight (weather dependent).

The event takes flight on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will also be other fun activities for kids, helicopters and planes on display, a meet and greet with pilots and food served by the Lions Club.
