Off-duty police officers nabbed a suspect alleged to have been involved in property crimes in Squamish.
, early on March 30, local Mounties say off-duty police officers found a woman trespassing on a private Squamish residential property.
Squamish RCMP officers responded and took the suspect into custody.
Police say Hailey Giroux had been released on bail earlier that day with several conditions.
Following the March 30 arrest, eight charges were sworn against Giroux, including break and enter, trespassing at night, possession of the stolen property, theft under $5,000 and taking a vehicle without consent.
These charges have not been proven in court.
Giroux has been released but has to abide by several conditions which were not included in the news release.
"The Sea to Sky RCMP Squamish would like to assure the public we take property crime seriously and want to remind everyone to stay vigilant in keeping their properties and vehicles secured," said Sgt. Dan Pollock, Operations Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) of Squamish RCMP.
