VPD execute search warrant in Squamish neighbourhood this morning

The incident went down聽on Chestnut Avenue in the Valleycliffe neighbourhood. The street was blocked off for a time.

The scene in Squamish this morning at about 8:45 a.m.

There was a significant presence of law enforcement in Valleycliffe this morning, March 20. 

The incident went down on Chestnut Avenue. The street was blocked off for a time.

Squamish RCMP tell us there is currently "no risk to public safety."

There were two, what appeared to be Emergency Response Team vehicles, and at least two Vancouver Police (VPD) vehicles and officers. 

The incident was over and law enforcement was seen leaving by 8:45 a.m.
 
Local RCMP directed questions about the incident to the VPD.
 
A spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department told The 小蓝视频 that officers were "executing a search warrant in relation to an ongoing criminal investigation."
 
The spokesperson said they were unable to provide more information at this time.
