Woodfibre LNG unveils fall 2024 community contribution recipients

Total of 52 organizations set to receive up to $5,000.

Woodfibre LNG has announced the recipients of its fall 2024 contributions through its Community Partnership Program.

In total, 52 Squamish and Squamish-Lillooet Regional District non-profit organizations received up to $5,000, totalling $150,000.

The contributions come on the heels of the $150,000 contributed as part of the spring 2024 intake.

鈥淣on-profit organizations are a foundational part of the community of Squamish and the larger Squamish-Lillooet Regional District,鈥 said Christine Kennedy, president of Woodfibre LNG, in a release. 鈥淭hrough the Community Partnership Program, we鈥檙e able support these groups to implement programs and services that make a real difference for Squamish and area residents.鈥

The program supports non-profits that make an impact in the community in the areas of sports, recreation, health and wellness, arts and culture, and search and rescue and marine safety.

鈥淲e appreciate the dedication of all the organizations that participate in the program and look forward to seeing the positive effects of their work in the coming year,鈥 Kennedy added.
