All three of  competitive squads saw action last weekend, with both men's rosters emerging on top.

The Division 2 group headed to Kitsilano and won a top-of-the-table clash with Kats RFC by a score of 24-12. Tries from Naisa Taufa and Neil Irwin got the Axemen up and running, but the match remained tight until its closing stages when Loic Sailleau pounced on an attacking kick played through by fullback Ryan Ketler. Pete Foley’s perfect performance off the tee also helped seal the victory.

Meanwhile, the Division 3 unit prevailed in a 22-19 nail-biter over Capilano. Michael Morgan found the end zone twice from his back row position, being named player of the game by his teammates. Ian Skuse and David Meacock also punched it in on a day when every point mattered.

had a tougher outing across the Strait of Georgia, falling 58-5 to Nanaimo. Members of Squamish's new ladies rugby program have been racking up mileage this season travelling to away games, but are due to host their first home fixture on March 9.
