The Squamish resident joins swimmer Ryan Cochrane, baseball players Amanda Asay and Justin Morneau, and golfer Richard Zokol as the latest athletes to join their home province's Hall of Fame.
Cochrane is Canada’s most decorated male swimmer of all-time. The Victoria native is an Olympic silver medallist in 1500-metre freestyle from London 2012 and an eight-time World Aquatics Championships medallist.
Asay led the Maple Leaf to five medals (two silver, three bronze) at the Women’s Baseball World Cup. The 17-year national team veteran passed away tragically in 2022.
Morneau built a 14-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career at first base. The American League MVP from 2006 played in 1545 regular-season games for the Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Chicago White Sox.
Zokol was one of Canada's most successful pro golfers during his 22-year career, which spanned from 1982 to 2003 and included 412 PGA Tour and Korn Ferry Tour events.
Also part of the 2024 class are Beverley Felske, Dr. Bob McCormack, Wayne Norton, the 1998 Langley Little League All-Star boys baseball team, the 1921-22 Vancouver Amazons women’s hockey team, Don Taylor and Glen Ringdal.

Since 1966, the 小蓝视频 Sports Hall of Fame has inducted 452 individuals and 69 teams to its Hall of Champions, ensuring their legacies will continue to inspire future generations. The formal Induction Gala for the Class of 2024 is scheduled to be held in May 2024, with details to be announced in the coming months.
