Neal Kindree third in Swiss race

Sports

As part of his preparation for the World Mountain Bike Championships, Neal Kindree participated in a Swiss Power Cup race two days after he arrived in Europe.

The course featured a significant amount of climbing. Neal described it as 13 minutes of climbing followed by no more than two minutes of downhill riding.

He placed third and reported that he won 100 Swiss francs and a pie.

He also reported he contracted food poisoning on Monday (Aug. 22). It didn't set him back, he said.

Downhill rider Kyle Ritchie left this week to join Neal in Europe for the world championships in Livigno, Italy from Aug. 28 to Sept. 4.
