Seattle NHL team to be called the 'Kraken'

Seattle has named its new NHL franchise the 鈥淪eattle Kraken.鈥� The Seattle Kraken expansion team will play its first game in the 2021-22 season, once renovations are complete at the Seattle Centre arena, which will be called the Climate Pledge Arena.

The Seattle Kraken expansion team will play its first game in the 2021-22 season, once renovations are complete at the Seattle Centre arena, which will be called the Climate Pledge Arena.

They will become the Vancouver Canucks closest, geographical rivals.
