TORONTO — The Toronto Raptors will keep forward Freddie Gillespie around longer.
Toronto signed Gillespie to a second 10-day contract Sunday.
The six-foot-nine, 245-pound player from Saint Paul, Minn., averaged 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and just under 16 minutes of court time in five games with the Raptors. Â
His shooting percentage was .619 going 13-for-21 from the floor.
Before signing with Toronto on April 8, Gillespie averaged 10.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 15 games with the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League.Â
He shot 57 per cent from the field and recorded six double-doubles.
