I am writing on behalf of the Squamish Needy Animal Foundation (SNAF) with a plea for help. SNAF is a local charity that helps fund veterinary care for sick or injured pets owned by people of low income, senior citizens on low fixed incomes and people on disability.
Many of the local businesses have been very generous with their donations for our fundraisers. The three local veterinary hospitals are more than generous with their help caring for these sick animals, but as the director/co-creator, I am finding this charity a lot of work to run. I need help from our community to keep it going.
I need people to take an active role in book keeping, fundraising and serving on the board of directors. We are having our annual general meeting on Tuesday Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Hot Spot Annex at 38027 Cleveland Avenue.
This is where I make my plea for help. I can't do this on my own. I don't want to do it, but if I don't get some help I will have to disband the charity. I really do not want to do this and would like to invite anybody interested in helping to attend the meeting Tuesday evening. Aliesha Timms
