A former real estate and immigration lawyer's office unit in Richmond city centre is up for sale after her practice shuttered.
Guo Law Corporation at 200-6061 No. 3 Rd., the former location of Hong Guo's bustling business, is on the market for $7,799,000.
A sign on the window refers to the sale as a "great chance" with a "crazy discount of $2.2M." According to the sign, the original listing price was about $10 million.
The two-floor unit near Richmond Centre is part of Three West Centre and was built in 1997. At 9,624 square feet, the unit includes two private elevators and a private lobby.
The listing on LoopNet.ca has been on the market since Feb. 12 and was last updated on April 9.
Guo was a former legal specialist for the State Council of the People's Republic of China and ran for mayor in Richmond in 2018.
She is understood to have left Canada for China for "personal reasons" last September. Her practice was placed under partial custodianship in 2016 after she claimed her bookkeeper stole $7.5 million from her trust account.
