James Hall Mulholland, known fondly as Jim or Jimmy, of Squamish 小蓝视频, quietly passed away on June 30th, 2022 at the age of 83.
Born in Vancouver 小蓝视频 on September 10, 1938 to James and Margaret Mulholland, he is survived by his sister Jean who lives in Richmond 小蓝视频.
Jim graduated from King George High School in Vancouver in 1956.
On May 20th, 1961, not long after a proposal at a 小蓝视频 Lions game, Jim married Kathleen McLaughlin at St. Augustine’s Parish.
Together they raised four children: Colleen (Lorenzo,) Brian, Trisha (John,) Erin (Ed).
His family was the light of his life, and he relished being Grampy to his seven grandchildren, Ryan, Kaileen, Liam, Alessandra, Olivia, Maya, and Kailyn and his great-grandchildren Carys, Kenna, Lilah, and Lachlan.
Jim was also a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Jim began working as a Purser on the Princess Patricia for the Vancouver-to-Alaska run.
He moved to Toronto in a sales role with Frank Hacking Sporting Goods before moving to General Plastics as their Canadian Sales Manager.
Jim and Kathie raised their family in Toronto for 14 years before the West Coast beckoned them home.
They bought the Stedman’s store in Squamish, 小蓝视频 and so began the next 25 years of being a big part of the local business community. Jim and Kathie sold everything in their store.
If they didn’t have it, Jim would get it in for you and deliver it to your door. Jim had a true gift with people.
His laughter and easy smile were well known on Cleveland Avenue and a big part of morning coffee with his buddies.
The Vancouver Canucks and the 小蓝视频 Lions had a lifelong fan in Jim, travelling up and down Highway 99 for dinner and games with his pals.
He was a proud Rotarian for over 35 years and was a master at fundraising for charity. He gave his time and talent to many causes, with the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Revitalization being a couple of his favourites.
Jim had a true love of travel and exploring new places. He was happiest planning his next trip. Jim and Kathie travelled the world together, creating great memories via adventures with their friends and family over the years. Jim enjoyed nothing more than visiting his children and grandchildren and spending time at their lake house in the Okanagan.

Jim lived a full and happy life. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
