According to a news release from the District of Squamish, the plan will guide the management of all-natural and built assets that provide stormwater drainage for watersheds or catchments north of the Mamquam River.

A $400,000 cash infusion from the Union of 小蓝视频 Municipalities will go to the District’s Sustainable Stormwater Service Delivery Plan, or SSDP, for Brackendale and the Garibaldi Estates.

According to a news release from the District of Squamish, the plan will guide the management of all-natural and built assets that provide stormwater drainage for watersheds or catchments north of the Mamquam River.

The plan also intends to outline a 20-year capital plan, policies and regulations and funding strategies to achieve sustainable stormwater service delivery.

“We know our natural assets provide many essential services and, in the stormwater context, it’s essential we understand and recognize their significance as we plan for sustainable service delivery for generations,” said Mayor Armand Hurford in a news release.

“This project will allow us to create a tool that can grow and evolve with the community and really understand the benefits of further integrating natural assets into our master planning processes.

The total cost of the project is $400,000, with an additional $50,000 of in-kind support provided by District staff, according to the release.
