MONTREAL — Nuvei Corp. says it earned US$5.3 million in its second quarter, down from US$11.6 million a year earlier. The Montreal-based company says revenues totalled US$345.5 million, up from US$307.0 million during the same quarter last year.

CALGARY — Suncor Energy Inc. says it earned $1.57 billion in its second quarter, down from $1.88 billion in the second quarter of 2023. The Calgary-based oil giant says on an adjusted basis, it earned $1.63 billion, up from $1.

Canada's main stock index fell more than one per cent Tuesday as it played catch-up while U.S. stock markets regained some of the ground lost in a big plunge Monday when the Toronto market was closed.
