Lisa was well known in downtown Squamish, working various jobs from Merv Foote鈥檚 Menswear to Highland Glass, GBA Logging, Sea To Sky Heli Rigging, and finally as an office manager at GSK Chartered Accountants.

Most recently, he was known as the Squamish Santa and a stalwart volunteer at The Hotspot in Squamish.聽

He worked as a pharmacist and business owner in Kamloops, Lillooet, and Squamish, where he operated Stathers Drugs, Stathers Home and Building Centre, and Lillooet IDA Pharmacy until his retirement at age 79.聽

On Jan. 7, over 60 volunteers counted 996 eagles in Squamish, Brackendale, Paradise and Squamish Valley.

Each year, on the first Sunday after New Year鈥檚 Day, volunteers conduct the count, covering approximately 20 areas from the Elaho to downtown Squamish, and from Paradise Valley to the Stawamus River.聽
